Creating the « Pearl Edition » of the Ford GT40 was a dream that had been brewing in my mind for years. The sleek and timeless design of the GT40 had always held a special place in my heart, and I was determined to put my own unique spin on it. Armed with Blender and Substance Painter, I embarked on a journey to turn this dream into reality.

Before diving into the 3D modeling process, I knew I had to gather inspiration and reference materials. I scoured the internet for high-resolution images of the GT40, both vintage and modern, to ensure I captured every detail accurately. I also explored various customizations and design elements that I could incorporate into the « Pearl Edition. » From classic racing stripes to modern aerodynamic tweaks, I wanted to infuse the spirit of innovation into my creation.
With a clear vision in mind, I started sketching out my ideas for the « Pearl Edition. » I envisioned a body that retained the iconic GT40 silhouette but with subtle modifications to make it stand out. The name « Pearl Edition » had been chosen for a reason—I wanted the car to shimmer like a precious pearl, so I sketched out a lustrous pearl white finish that would grace the exterior.
With my sketches as a guide, I fired up Blender and began the 3D modeling process. I started with the chassis, ensuring that the proportions were faithful to the original GT40 while incorporating my design elements. The distinctive nose, low profile, and gull-wing doors were meticulously recreated, each curve and contour lovingly shaped.
